Analysis Of Sound Cards

CUSTOMER: CHIP Magazine Test Center GOAL Comparison of the output quality and (dip) noises of the sound cards in the market. DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY: A multi-functional data acqusition card was used to measure the signals on the analog output of the sound card and to generate a signal with a known frequency and (genlik). LabVIEW 6i was used for the test software platform. Both of these are the products of National Instruments company.

SOLUTION:
To measure the noise caused by the inner electronics of the sound cards the sound volume was at the maximum and level of the (dip) noises on the analog output were measured. Another criteria of the sound card test , the measurement of the disortion of the signals was made by sending a known signal with a known frequency and (genlik) and analysing the same signal's output.

RESULT:

The similar tests which were made in CHIP Germany before, can be made in CHIP Turkey from now on.
